After winning the competition, VOGT will work with 3XN and OMA to develop a master plan for the BMW plant in Munich that envisions a future in line with the industry's shift towards electromobility and digitalisation. The project will add a new public dimension to the site by strengthening the presence of production in the city and making the plant and its neighbourhood more connected through open spaces that can be used in various ways.
The collaboration resulted from an international competition organised by the BMW Group and the City of Munich, which the two offices jointly won. On 20 May, the facility celebrated its centenary.
