Opening Hagen-Haus in Nendeln, Liechtenstein

On 8 November, the Hagen-Haus ensemble in Nendeln will open after three years of planning and construction, marking the completion of the new campus for the Liechtenstein Music Academy. Interested parties can visit the project on 10 November during the open day.

The landscape design draws on the forms of rural gardens and preserves a prominent apple tree as a guiding design element and a relic of the site. The cottage garden with perennial islands and seating areas opens up a view of the adjacent orchard meadow, offering a high quality of stay. A newly created vineyard connects the grounds with the surrounding cultural landscape. The hillside location was shaped by terracing with natural stone dry walls, made from locally sourced stones of various sizes using traditional craftsmanship. The historic water well, once connected to the wash house, has been uncovered and revitalised to make the site’s history visible. The landscape planning was coordinated with the architecture and was carefully planned and executed with enduring quality.
