Günther Vogt will hold a lecture titled "Monastery Square and Gardens" at the commemorative event.
August 2023 marks the 300th anniversary of the death of Brother Caspar Moosbrugger. This is an occasion for Einsiedeln Monastery to remember its monastic architect. He began his work in Einsiedeln as a young stonemason with his master Hans Georg Kuen in 1674, and then remained loyal to the monastery as a monk throughout his life. His main work is the planning and execution of the baroque monastery complex including the new monastery church in Einsiedeln. Therefore, on the occasion of the anniversary of his death, 26 August 2023, a scientific conference with lectures will take place.
