VOGT Berlin wins the competition “Neuländer Quarree” in Hamburg-Harburg
The competition is based on the master plan of Störmer Murphy and Partners GbR, which organises the spatial and functional organisation of seven buildings on the former harbour site that won awards in previous competitions.
The proposed design by VOGT qualifies the public open spaces on the waterfront as well as inside the harbour. For residents and people working in the neighbourhood, the result is a concise location of a quality and usability.
The design envisages the development of ecologically valuable green structures along the water edge. The shallow water areas, breeding islands and shore vegetation create a differentiated spectrum of breeding and food habitats, especially for birds and bats.
